Easy as Hexagon Quilt

On May the 25th I am teaching the Easy as Hexagon quilt over at Karens. It's just $15 bring a jelly roll or cut some 2 1/2"strips from your stash and you're set to go!

It can also be set in alternate pattern but either way it's quick and easy! 
On another subject I'm in the Gift Fairy swap and here's what my lovely partner Wendy sent me for Easter. It's so nice to get squishy mail.

Run for the kids

Is on tomorrow in Melbourne I have signed up for the short run,5.5km, this is the third run in our challenge to do one 5km event each month for a year. I'm just hoping I get the right event if not I could end up in the melbourne ironman challenge, which starts with a lazy 3.8km swim, then a few k's on the bike, 180 or so and then brings it home with a full marathon just to make sure they are really challenged. I think I'll stick to the 5.5km.

Monbulk quilt show

It's that time of year again the Monbulk quilt show is on tomorrow at the community hub in Monbulk so drop in and support the CFA. If you're early the footy club has a great plant stall and there's always a devonshire tea or a sausage sizzle going.

Just over a week without phone and internet, the kids think the world has ended. The excuse for it taking so long the flooding in Queensland. Anyway I hope you all had a lovely long weekend, this was taken on my run this morning, just magic.

I was over at Mrs Martins this morning and between us we were trying to work out her fb page, now I believe there's someone who knows less about fb than me!!! It's a steep learning curve but we'll get there.

A bit of housekeeping to  catch up on, with the return of school computer time is at a premium so finally I've got around to announcing the winners of the giveaway, congratulations to Mac and Annette they have both won a Flynn the Fox pattern. Hope you both have lots of fun making him!

Triathlon Pink!!

We completed triathlon pink this morning at Albert Park, what a fantastic event! We had heaps of fun and plan to go back again next year.
